Well, I really don't have a lot of generalized anxiety. My anxiety is mostly social and sometimes just anticipatory (of events, going to work, meeting certain people, etc) but having the social part taken care of helps a lot with that.
I still take Ativan for anticipatory anxiety, so I guess it's not really as calming as you might think, but rather stimulating, although not in a bad way. I like the feeling of it.
