What happened to the Savella? I feel that was actually an excellent choice to followup after a Zoloft poopout. Though I think the starting dose of 50 b.i.d was too high.

You need something you can get your hands on real fast. Whatever it is, brace for a possible rough ride. That's not uncommon when a longterm med is stopped.

St Johns Wort is readily available, as is Rhodiola Rosea. Don't underestimate the power of those herbs. Rhodiola works faster. You will likely need something calming, my best prediction, get some Lemon Balm tincture and Passionflower tincture also. And for a general whole-body and mind soother/energizer/antidepressant Cordyceps mushroom.

Real good herbs for depression are availabe in USA for international shipping from a Dr Zhang (Lyme, HIV, and Hepatitis specialist). His herbal prescriptions are not intended for depression, but they just happen to work real well for it and fast. Specifically I'm thinking of CirculationP and AI#3.

Albizia Julibrissin. Free & Easy Wanderer. Some very good ones, hardly heard of outside the communities of serious ailments where depression happens to be a serious problem and these things work for them when multiple meds did not.

I would not want to go to the ER either, because sometimes they are not much help and the outcome might not be improved. They can save your life if it is that serious, in which case that is the very best thing to do. It would buy you some time and put you in a safe place to detox, settle, and gather your strength and thoughts. Miracles do walk out of the hospital often enough to give hope, you could be one of them.

You do have some great herbs available. I would not hesitate to do that. That is something you can do right now, today, tomorrow, without delay.

I focused most of this response on the herbal categories because I have come to view psychotropic pharmaceuticals as much too narrow in scope when treating disease. I feel strongly most depressions are caused elsewhere in the body, not the brain. The brain is the final target that receives the assault. The above mentioned herbs cover a wide spectrum of biodysfunctions that impact the brain directly.
