I think its just a patent extender... I personally would think that Trileptal is safer.
> So then my family doc (I know) gave me Pristiq to try. I loved it except for the horrendous constipation that could not be solved no matter what I took or ate. So I stopped that and took Cymbalta. which was ok except for the numbness below the waist and the total flat emotionless disposition I had.SSRIs are known for that... I wasn't clear that SNRIs are either, but there is an approximate 6:1 5HTP to NE for Cymbalta so its not actually a high NRI, and neither is Effexor.
> So I stopped Cymbalta and then the mania kicked in (because I was on no meds) Bad things happened.

....I would add Citrucel (the most flavorful and least bloating, but most expensive -- there is generic) to your diet. If not that, then generic psyllium mixes to put in water like Citrucel. Or eat cereals and other products with fiber like flax, hemp, etc.
The natural ways of fiber are the best ways to eliminate this. I did this for a time when I was taking Remeron before my system adjusted.
> I do love the calm feelings that antidepressants give. But I would also like to have sex!I am assuming you're female... as for that answer to the question I would leave it up to another female to answer it as I don't know that the ideas for intervention for male issues with SSRIs would help... (small dose Wellbutrin, etc.)
I'm also not sure about how prolactin levels from Seroquel, if there are any, I don't think its known for a high amount, affect women.
I hope that has some help though-- tidings
