A long, long time ago, I was seeing a doctor who found it for me. I was 100% improved and in remission for the better part of a year. Then, this same doctor made some treatment changes, and he subsequently lost it for me. I could never find it again, not even when using the same drug combination that got me well the first time. I would say that this is an example of treatment-induced treatment refractoriness. That's a fancy way of saying that one can become resistant to responding to a particular drug once it is discontinued and later restarted. I also think that my having been ill continuously over the course of decades has produced a tendency towards treatment resistance. Perhaps advancing age contributes to this as well.
