Autoimmune Diseases And Medications

As I was answering an above post thought now if autoimmune disease causes the body to turn on itself and reject parts as foreign is it possible that the body also says hey here's a med it's foreign and doesn't belong here and rejects it hence meds don't work. Just a thought as do have the hasimotos? Is this possible? Phillipa
