No it's not a high dose. However, clonazepam is not really good for sleep. It's not hypnotic enough and its half-life is so long that you will constantly have a higher-than-necessary level of clonazepam in your blood just for sleep, which will make you tired during the day.
Use a BZD/BZD-like drug with shorter halflife like Imovane or Lunesta.
