Hi lyme is very prevelant throughout the world. Different bacterias different places. The majority of cases are from the deer tic but now they have found even some fleas can carry it and rodents. Anyway I've had active lymes, been in the hospital for a month about l0 years ago and this is also when thyroid became hypo. To be tested for lymes and you don't have to have a rash I didn't. Western Blot specific for lymes is a good place to start. It's very complicated how the bands are read and how many in either IGM or IGG are necessary for a positive. I myself just repeated mine and strangely after all the antibiotics been on still positive reading. But the strangest is that the IGM first for new disease tested positive and the IGG which can stay positive for years was negative. Plus ANA which is for that and autoimmune disorders is now negative. I have to wonder if those were my real labs and didn't get mixed up. But tomorrow will see the doc that can treat lymes and the osteoporosis I now have. Symptoms can be joint pain, imflamation, rashes bulls eye if new, flu like illness. I'd also get my thyroid tested as it does affect depression. The D is good assuming it's D3 did you have your levels of that tested? Sed rate for immflamation and infection, regular CBC, Electrolytes, There is one I always forget also. So many overlapping symtoms of depression/anxiety with illnesses.
