I'm glad you posted this. I want to try an MAOI (Emsam or Parnate) for depression since SSRIs don't do much. I take Dexedrine for ADD though, and without it, its near impossible to function optimally at work. Most doctors just don't know enough about the combo or are scared to combine the two. I've read plenty of reports online (many from this site) of people taking the combo and they seem to love it and have had no problems.
Adding Provigil would be a "safer" way to treat ADD while on an MAOI, but its expensive and only works for some people with ADD. Maybe that could be a backup option if your pdoc won't do a regular stimulant. Good luck and if you try the combo, please report back your experiences!
