I have taken Remeron and Seroquel together for sleep with pretty good results. Years ago, just 25-50mg of Seroquel would knock me out completely, but over time, I've worked up to needing 400mg or more of Seroquel. One of my pdocs awhile back described Seroquel as "the world's most expensive sleeping pill," so I think it's not uncommon to use it for sleep. I think the same is true of Remeron, though lower doses tend to be more sedating than higher ones, and I'm personally not sure whether the sedating effect is long-term or not. But maybe they're not so commonly used together because their effects are thought to be duplicative--i.e. they both put you to sleep, so why bother with both?
