The mind has a powerful power to stimulant the immune system and heal the body/mind. We go to the doctor for a sore thoat and we get an antibiotic and your sore throat goes away. The sore throat would probably have healed on its own.So the placebo effect is a real thing.
I was watching a program that showed medicine men healing people. The peopke believed in the rituals of the med man and than the power of the mind took over.
Obviously not every drug is just placebo effect but we can't discount the power of the mind to help heal us.
