I find Zyprexa to be calming for me as well - calming in that it seems to control that type of anxiety that can send my head into tons of uncontrolled, fast paced thoughts. I take 5 mg. every night.

Yes, it has caused my weight to be a problem, because despite an excellent diet, I cannot lose weight (need to lose 40 lbs.). If not on Zyprexa, I think I would have lost the majority of the weight already.

But I choose the sanity it gives me OVER the weight issue. After YEARS, I have become fairly stable since adding it to my med regime about 6 months ago. Other meds I take are Celexa, Tegretol, Wellbutrin, Cytomel, Imovane, and the occasional Ativan.
