I'm just saying if you scroll up and down this page and look at the people who are having serious problems with their mood, they are invariably on a benzodiazepine drug and they are basically shuffling their other meds around to alleviate the benzo's side effects of depression and mood swings. That's easier than actually ceasing the benzo.
As for the cigarette analogy: Cigarettes feel great and relaxing when you first try them, but the more you use them the less effective they are. Eventually you need cigarettes to be normal.
I live with someone who takes klonopin every night, and I see him sweating at the end of every month. You'll never find me sweating because I took too much lithium or lamictal and don't have any left.
