Metformin? and Lithium?

Does anyone take Metformin along with their meds?

My regular doc says I am pre-diabetic (he says thats like being a little pregnant though!).

He feels that I should take Metformin, especially since I now take Lithium and Seroquel. Plus, I am about 40 - 50 lbs overweight.

Does Metformin help with weight loss?

I guess it couldn't hurt.
