Hi Alayna.

You can try to add nortriptyline to paroxetine, but at a reduced dosage of nortriptyline - perhaps 25-50mg. Paxil slows the breakdown of TCA, thus raising blood levels. You can use blood tests to verify that the dosage of nortriptyline being used produces blood levels that are within the therapeutic range. Sertraline does not produce such an interaction.
