But, my suicidal thoughts diminished upon increasing from 45mg to 60mg. Eventually the side effects diminished virtually entirely. Depression was diminished to mild/dysthymic.

If you think you can bear it for one more month to see if your side effects decrease and your depression improves give it a try. Perhaps a dose increase might needed, but that can aggravate side effects. From what I have read here on this board, you should give Nardil a little more time than the SSRIs to see how it works.

I will stay on for another month or so, and will try to go up to 75 mg - he said I can come back down to 60 if the side effects get too bad, but I'm just fearful I won't be able to function at all on 75mg. I guess it's just fear and I might be fine on it. Also he switched me from Xanax (which has worked for 5 years) to clonopin for bedtime and now I'm sleeping even less. I think he thought clonopin would help me sleep longer, today is morning 2 of clonopin and I woke up at 1:00am and took 1/2 xanax and read for an hour. I woke up at the usual time without the alarm so maybe I'll have a good day.
Thanks for the advice.
