In my experience, antibiotics can unquestionably make one depressed. I have had significant problems on some of them - quinolone types especially. I think GP docs have little or no knowledge of this. In fact, there are many, many meds out there which affect me psychologically and I've found almost no one out there to believe me, let alone be sympathetic.
