I've heard that litium causes weight gain also. Perphenazine is a good one that causes weight loss. Its a typical AP. Its also sedating and more simmilar to zyprexa than any others which all seem to cause weight gain. I take both zyprexa and perphenazine and having no problems maintaining a weight. I'm 220lb and 5'10". I take 15mg zyprexa and 3x12mg perphenazine. Its a realy good mix!

Ok, well ... see i don't have schizophrenia, but i do have schizod personality traits which i got dianosed at the last rehab that I was in. I don't think she would consider perphenazine but would ... its a major tranquilizer so yea i guess it would take away anxiety. I was on 20mg of Zyprexa but it felt like a bunch of bricks where on my eyelids... i couldnt stay awake, so on a emergency plan, i got moved to 10mg because I could not function well. I may ask to go back up to 20mg.

thanks...
rj
