My doctor raised my Parnate from 15 to 20 mg about 2 weeks ago and I have consistently had chest tightness since the dose increase. It starts about an hour after I take my meds, and lasts about 9 or 10 hours. My blood pressure is also about 15 points higher. He insists it's anxiety...but I didn't have these side effects on the lower dose and I'm not aware of any anxiety. (I HAVE had significant anxiety at times, and I'm very in touch with it, plus it always happens at night--these side effects are in the day, when the Parnate is still in my system). I know he is invested in Parnate working for me (the lower dose worked and then pooped out), since he has tried so many other drugs, but I don't like this feeling. Has anyone else had it? Does it go away? What other meds can I try at this point? Help! Thanks, Teresa
