Apart from the insomnia Parnate reads like it will fit like a glove to me. Problem is no one will prescribe it to me. They fear I will have a heart attack and there is absolutely no way I can convince them otherwise. I live in Denmark and I'm not even sure there any doctors who prescribe Parnate anymore. What do I do?

> MAOIs are safe when you follow all the instructionsThey are not open minded. They have been educated to be told that MAOI's kill patients. I don't have any heart issues that I'm aware of. They will rather prescribe harmfull and ineffective SSRI's and antipsychotics than MAOIs. I was in hostipal for 6 months and asked to try Parnate as I read it has great effectiveness for a lot of people but they just thought it would kill me. I think there are very few living psychiatrists in Denmark who have ever prescribed MAOIs.
