One can take nortriptyline as one dose. If you find that side effects do not present a problem taking it this way, I would not be so concernted about precipitating a serious interaction between nortriptyline and Nardil. Just be aware that if low blood pressue becomes a problem, you may have to take the nortriptyline all at once at night. I would be cautious about taking all of your Nardil at once. I take mine three times a day. However, twice a day would probably work fine. I would recommend taking Nardil in the morning and afternoon. It will help prevent an overly acute change in MAO activity and side effects. You might actually feel an intrusion of depression at the end of your dosing period. This is only a guess on my part. I can't produce any proof that this will happen. Perhaps you can divide dosing of both drugs morning and afternoon. If you are compelled to take all of your medication in the morning, please post describing your experience. It would be very helpful.
Good luck.
Currently:Nardil 90mg (30mg t.i.d.)
nortriptyline 150mg (50mg t.i.d)
Lamictal 200mg (100mg b.i.d.)

Some see things as they are and ask why.
I dream of things that never were and ask why not.
