Oxazepam alone or add SSRI?

Posted by Keith Talent on December 2, 2010, at 5:11:24

I've just been prescribed oxazepam for Social Anxiety Disorder. The first couple of days I took either 30mg in the morning or 15mg twice daily. This dose rate barely seemed to do a thing. Went to the gym tonight after taking 60mg beforehand and that provided adequate anxiety control.

The question is whether adding in an SSRI would provide more acceptable anxiolytic results compared to increasing the benzo dose (apologies to those of you thinking "How long's a piece of string?")? Also, does anyone have experience of duloxetine in Social Anxiety Disorder?
