We always have Christmas at my mom's house and my brother brings the meal. Last year he smoked a turkey. I am vegetarian so didn't have any of the turkey, just veg which I am more than happy to eat.
So when I asked was he planning to smoke a turkey this year, he said that we weren't going to have a turkey. We were going to have raclette. Reclette! You have GOT to be kidding me. It's hard for me to explain what raclette is so here is a link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raclette Basically, raclette is a cheese.
I love, love, love, raclette, but being on the Parnate it is not something that I can eat. Although I have been able to eat small amounts of strong cheddar without any reaction, so I figured that if I had a little raclette I would be fine. I decided to be proactive and I took a 100 mg of Thorazine before supper.
I thought I was in the clear because I was fine for a few hours. It's now 11:30 pm and I am getting that tell-tale sign of a hypertensive crisis ... the headache at the base of my head. I have taken another 100 mg of Thorazine which should stop everything in its tracks.
I am so stupid for eating food that I KNOW I shouldn't eat. On the other hand, it was the first meal I have had in several weeks. I have been living off of yoghurt and baby carrots.
I am glad this day is almost over.
