To make this a better place for all of us (or at least most of us), we can strip Dr. Bob of his role of autocratic enforcer and be encouraging of each other and realize that most people coming to a mental health site are experiencing mental and physical pain, demoralization, repeated discouragements, frustration, and anger. For many of us, it never stops. That's a hell of a thing to try to do battle with day in and day out. It affects us. Some of us become sad. Some of us become disinterested. Some of us become angry. These influence how we view life and its constituents. They influence how we feel about other people. More importantly, they influence how we feel about ourselves.
I ain't doing it all. If this shift in roles doesn't take root, I can live with that. I just didn't like the "feel" of this website when it was actively moderated by Dr. Bob. Let us be the experiment he wants us to be. It might be the only way that Psycho-Babble can be resurrected at this point.
I ain't doing it all. (Oh, I said that already). However, it is extremely important that there be absolutely no expectation that any individual help promote self-moderation. People should continue being themselves for as long as that self is desirable to them. For some, their true self might include a desire to actively promote the health of the website through commentary and interaction.
Just some non-random thoughts...

I dream of things that never were and ask why not.
