That's rough...I had a weird experience fairly recently. When it was evident that the Lamictal did not agree with my system I started taking an antihistamine...took 2 Benadryl before bed...which should completely knock me out, so I decided against taking an Ambien that night. Oh, was I wrong! I could NOT get to sleep, my mind raced a mile a minute and then it was too late to do anything about it (5 AM). Or how about the endless nights staying up because I just thought of the latest and greatest business idea that it is necessary to research the hell out of it and type up 10 pages worth of plans! That's loads of fun! lol (Am I the only one who does this?!?)
Feel your pain. So grateful to have found this forum! Is there anything significant/insignificant that has changed in your life or environment? I hope you find stability again very soon.
