I don' know who Roger Gould is, but I take issue with his over generalized claims. The buspar molecule and the wellbutrin molecule are totally different. We have not a clue what their actual mechanisms are. We have identified "some" of the receptors they have affinity for, but that really doesn't tell us much. There are so many unknowns.
The fine print on either of these meds says something like this, "while the mechanisms are not known, it is thought it works by..."
The only way to find out if a combination is helpful, hurtful, or neutral, is to try it. Mankind does not at this time of history have the wisdom or knowledge to make the claims of Mr Gould. IMO. This combination might be a miracle for one person and a toxic disaster for another. In either case, we would not know why or how. We could only make hypothetical guesses on limited knowledge and discuss our theories at online forums.
There is no substitute for personal trial.
