I can tell you this, my doctor had patients on less than 1mg of lexapro and they could feel it and it worked. Myself, I did 2.5mg parnate once every other day. I definitely felt it and it had some impact. So even though it might be a common assumption to think your low dose isn't doing anything, I think that is a wrong assumption.
