Matt -
I think it's good that you've seemed to be more willing to acknowledge your addiction issues. You seem very restless, which I think is understandable because you are a young man - and don't seem to have zeroed in on a 'purpose' for yourself. When you're 8, it feels great to live with parents in an ideal situation - plenty of food, great place to live, all the care you need. But when you're 24, it doesn't feel so great. What you may need, is to find (outside of substance abuse) your passion - find a calling. You may have it right under your nose with respect to your NA meetings. Can you talk to the leaders there about participating in a way that you are giving, rather than just receiving? Is there a volunteer 'job' you can do for them? Is there anyone in the group who would be willing to mentor you into responsible adulthood?
Those are just some ideas, Matt. But I think if you could find a way to be of service.. even if it's volunteering to do the yardwork for a non-profit, just doing something that when you're done - you feel good about who you are... I think that can help start you on your way. You may want to check to see if there's a non-profit county agency (my county has one), that provides assistance to those recovering from addictions, to help them get started in life. They can help them find jobs - there are employers who receive tax breaks for giving people with things on their 'record' that can make it hard to find a job.
