I forgot to ask if anyone knows how long I can expect it to be before it begins to work (if it does work, keep my fingers crossed). I increased from 300 mg. the first night to 600 the second night and tonight I will go up to the full dose of 900 mg.

What are you looking for lithium to do for you?

As an augmenter added to an antidepressant to treat unipolar depression: perhaps 2 - 10 days.

To treat bipolar depression: it might take longer, but I haven't seen this question addressed directly.

To treat mania: a few weeks.
