You will gain weight on 15 mg of remeron. It just plain makes you hungry. But I found it worked beautifully for sleep, and was much easier to tolerate than trazodone. My weight gain leveled off after a few months. As soon as I stopped it I stopped eating as much and lost all the weight I had gained within a month. I tend to now have no interest in food, so I rather miss the remeron. Eating is now a chore rather than an urge. And trazodone for sleep gives the worst hangover. Wish I could take remeron with Emsam, actually, even with the weight gain. I think remeron is good stuff - and I am very med sensitive.

You could always give it a try. I had no withdrawal stopping it, so you could stop if the weight gain became a concern.
