Ed well my internist who is my primary doctor refers you to another speciality doc for anything. He has referred me for thyroid to the endo. The internist will not treat it he says. If a psych med find a pdoc. Maybe some do but not mine I guess doesn't want liability? Who knows? Hence refer myself. I ask other docs who they use. Example for a fall hurt foot asked the expensive dentist who takes no insurance you file one own, who a good foot doctor was, he said go to xxxx saw him needed the back doc and he said oh my Brother saw a great neuro spinal doc let me get his name for you as the brother is also a foot doc there. As for dermatologist recommendation from plastic surgeon here. All take medicaire so it's great so far. Six years here so far. PJ
