Philippa, in several threads you have been expressing increased levels of distress and anxiety. It seems from what you have written that the anxiety is free-floating, and can attach to trust issues with your husband, going out alone, or worries about your health or writing skills. That is a horrible way to feel that many of us can empathize with. In one thread, above, you said that it may all relate to issues of trust and abandonment related to how your mother treated you, as well as to her illness and death; you were thinking that perhaps something in your present life is causing these feelings to be more severe.
Can you discuss this whole situation honestly with your pdoc?
You may well need some medication adjustments, or a change in meds. Would you be able to honestly talk about your fearful feelings with him? I know that trust in thapists and also finances are big obstacles to getting therapy, but could you use your present pdoc for at least a little bit of therapy? From what you have written, seeing him helps you feel better and do more outside for at least a short while. Many people here on Babble care a lot about you, and would do anything they can to help, but the Internet in this format is unable to function in a psychotherapeutic way - see Dr. Bob's warning about that, above. Really good information can be found here, and there are friendly relationships between posters. But we all need both a skilled pdoc and a therapist we like and trust in order to get better. Sometimes those two functions can be performed by the same person - as in the examples of Deneb and Emmanuel98.
