Trying to find a generic version of Lithobid

Hi all,

I was told that a generic form of Lithobid had recently come available, but from what I can tell, if you ask for the generic you are simply given lithium carbonate extended release, which has been available for quite some time. (???) I don't think it has the same coating as Lithobid. The generic ER version made me sick last time I tried it.

How do I find out which generic form of lithium is most similar to Lithobid? Anyone know how many different versions of lithium carbonate extended release are on the market?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Lithobid is $$$$.
