Based on what Deplin is I would be very surprised if you noticed a significant negative effect. If you have the genetic abnormalities Deplin is intended to treat (improper folate metabolism) you will notice an effect most likely a postive one.
However, some people have reported not liking deplin, but the downsides seem to be pretty muted, and there are a number of people here who feel it is their wonder drug. I take it and I feel like I am able to go for longer periods of time without any hiccups, but I don't think it is a dramatic improvement for me. It wouldn't surprise me if I didn't have the genetic difference and thus Deplin is pure placebo to me.
I would suggest going ahead and giving it a shot.
