> I've also been forgetting to take Prozac. Should I take some now?It might be due to your recent illness or a symptom of withdrawal from Prozac. Is it a prickling, tingling, numbing or burning sensation on your skin? If so it could be a withdrawal symptom called "parathesias". Other withdrawal symptoms include irritability, nausea, dizziness, vomiting, nightmares and headache. Some people also speak of "flu-like" symptoms.
If you miss a dose of Prozac, take it as soon as you remember unless it is close to when your next dose is due. If it is close to your next dose, wait until then to take the medication and skip the missed dose. Do not double your next dose or take more than your prescribed dose.
> What should I do?If it's a withdrawal symptom, then it will likely go away once you get back into the routine habit of taking your medication. I suggest setting some alarms to remind you to take your medication and timing your dose with a daily event to help you remember, e.g. if it's a morning dose then take it at breakfast.
I have a tendency to forget my medication when my depression worsens. If you think this might be the case for you, or if the sensation doesn't go away, it would be worthwhile checking in with your doctor.
Ring the bells that still can ring
forget your perfect offering
there is a crack in everything
that's how the light gets in
