So weird, "basically" an anti-psychotic lowers dopamine, and a parkinson drug increases it. Of course dopamine types, receptors, parts of the brain, etc. are crazy complicated.
I am going to go off of the Amantadine. Dr's next suggestion is a new SSRI that's out (haven't even heard of it). Don't have much hope, but at least the SSRIs don't tend to make me worse - like many meds seem to.
That's weird that your doc won't prescribe Saphris. I didn't even ask for it & my dr. had me try it. I had to coax him for me to try amantadine.
