I was thinking along the lines of combining a couple (2?3?) of mood stabalizers. Both anxiety and depression can benefit from the combo of these meds. There are a LOT of little tinkering's of meds you could experiment with. I spent my first almost 10 years on psyche meds using 'conventional' treatments like the a.d./benzo combo...even just adding 1 mood stabalizer....but I didn't start to feel better until we tried combos of some intersting meds. I've been on up to 5 psych meds at a time.
Also..regarding med cost coverage...don't you qualify for Trillium here in Ontario?Best..
