This combo actually makes a lot of sense to me. You've got almost pure serotonin on one med, almost pure NE with the other, and you can customize the ratios of each. That in my opinion is great.

I have tried protrpt before and wow it was really potent on NE. I mean, like wow. It was way too strong for me. That was before I was well schooled on making smaller custom doses. For the NE component of a cocktail I found nortriptyline or desipramine to be much friendlier.

Any TCA in combo with lexapro sounds like a smart strategy to me.
