In reply to my doc will only rx vyvanse every 15 days : /, posted by novelagent on May 15, 2012, at 17:54:36
It costs $55 a month, but I think it's worth it-- I also get ExtraHelp, so I can change any month I'd like.
my doc is putting through a prior authorization for Vyvanse over the phone with Cigna Medicare Rx, because Medicare allows anything to be prior authorized for an exception, even if it's not on the formulary. She's going to mention the drug I had success with is no longer available due to a shortage, and that might possibly work,
It probably won't, snd since Shire won't do patient assistance for 15 days supply at a time, I think my best bet is to give up and pay the $55 a month... I just hooe I don't get hassled and denied for prior authorization for Vyvanse after switching to AARP. I've heard one person online say it's good-- anyone else?
At least it's on the formulary for needing prior suthorization, as opposed to not being on the formulary at all.
