Effexor should be out of your system within a week. Actually, I think most people eliminate the majority of the drug in 3 or 4 days.

You might have kindled this state through repeated withdrawal events such that symptoms persists well beyond the point where the drug has cleared your system. For how long were you taking Effexor? What dosage?. Your symptoms might also represent a *partial* relapse into depression. Your system might be is a "fight-or-flight" mode due to being in this in-between state. Do you have dry mouth or blurred vision? Elevated heart rate of palpitations? Constipation?
