There is another pointless debate about drug policy starting in this country. I will try to avoid upset by ignoring it. The problem is beyond solution, apart from the idea of leaving ordinary people alone and going after the murderers. That got up in Mexico and could here. Still, I think some people like setting the dogs on ordinary people. I was brought up in the revised version of the British class system. But no one ever spoke of people as trash. (Those voices would sound very strange today, the accents having changed so much.) We were meant to be Christian and almost took it seriously.
