not sure why. but medicare went all electronic it was starting at a certain time period but some docs jumped on the band wagon a little early and figured ifthey have to do it for the px on medicare/mecid then just do it px wide.
i think after medicare did it other ins. providers went to move on this as well.
at my pdoc its ALL electronic, all rx done via etransmission. the only one thats not is controlled substance. i still have to run in to get a physical script for my adderall.
