It's four weeks to the day since I reached my target dose of 60mg. During my four month tug-of-war with Parnate, my sleep has been consistently poor, but, aside from waking up to use the bathroom once a night, I've been able to sleep throughout. The quality of sleep is poor, but it's been enough to persist.
Now I'm waking up at 4am and can't get back to sleep. I take 1.25mg of Klonopin, sometimes melatonin, though I try to avoid it since it makes me depressed.
Just wondering if the awakenings are a positive sign? Not sure I can deal with no sleep on top of everything else. There's no other sleep aids I can tolerate, so my only option would technically be to raise of my klonopin dose, though my psychiatrist doesn't believe melatonin can worsen depression and wants me to experiment with that first.
