I really hope these scientists are on to something. One of my main complaints is my inability to take pleasure in the simple things. I used to be able to enjoy so much and now I can't. It is so disheartening. The other day I told my husband how I couldn't remember the last time I woke up happy.
Though I can say I'm "functional", I often have to fake enjoyment for my family's sake.

If research can determine that by managing patients' melanocortin signaling, relief from anhedonia is possible, it will definitely be an answer to many of our prayers.

Can't let go of hope.
