Thanks Christ_empowered and everyone else for your kind responses. For 21 years I have pretty much taken nothing but Nardil, and I could never really work off of Nardial. In fact I have had trials of Prozac and Wellbutrin in the past separately, but they did not really do anything. But in the last few years Nardil really played tricks with my judgement, and then especially Dec 2011-Jan 2012 where I became just flat out manic on just a 2.5 mg dose of Dexedrine augmentation. Mania is funny. It feels great but you don't realize the destruction you are doing. Of course my psychiatrist is super reluctant to even talk of returning to an MAOI or dexedrine-with-anything. I really am having to face the prospect that I really am "treatment-resistant" and that I may not be able to work in my profession again. (I am 50). I know that now is not a good time to make sweeping judgements about my future.
