Strattera takes about 2 weeks to start working at its fullest...it may start workin in a week...but not full effect....all it will do is increase norephiephrine...it will help with alertness, and less distraction, but its not really good for motivation because it doesnt effect dopamine.
You should check into Intuniv or maybe Focalin XR....
tell the doctor your in process of going back to school and your nervous, and need some help with the meds....give suggestions maybe like strattera...you could take strattera with adderall it may work vary well....there also is wellbutrin, but wellbutrin has been known for anxiety causing effects, but you don't have anxiety problems it may not be a bad choice. I was on Wellbutrin 450mg and Adderall 30mg in 2003...it did work but the wellbutrin made me feel wierd...
Also something like Nemanda for cognitive improvement would be good with adderall too....
