I don't know why anyone would say taking opiates with LDN is dangerous. It's just that the naltraxone blocks opiate receptors, so opiates don't work. It's true that if you give an opiate addict naltrexone, you can put them into immediate withdrawal, but that's an altogether different situation. The problem though with opiates and naltrexone is that the naltrexone stays in your system for a while, so you can't take it in the morning, then take opiates in the evening and expect the opiates to have any effect.
I also don't understand why anyone would prescribe LDN for pain. Naltrexone blocks opiate receptors but is not, itself, an opiate and does not reduce pain.
