Any feedback???The culprit is most likely the Adderall, even though it may not seem like it giving the timing of the meds and your BP results. But you can't always go by the timing. Lots of factors contribute.
It's possible Lamictal and Clonazepam and Seroquel are helping to lower your BP, which is good. But don't go and up their doses!
Stimulants like Adderall often cause high BP...for instance, I'm on 2 antihypertensives, plus I have one for backup should I need it. My BP monitor has been surgically implanted in my right hip. Just kidding of course, but I take my BP so often implantation would be useful LOL. But then I'm on Ritalin, which usually causes more of a problem with BP than amphetamines do.
All that having been said, you are right to be worried about those BP readings. They are definitely too high, and if left untreated could wreak a lot of damage like kidney failure and heart failure. But don't worry! A few days at elevated BPs like yours will not cause any lasting damage. And all worrying will do is increase your BP further.
You should start keeping a record of your BP and pulse readings for the AM and PM every day, in case your doc wants to check them. And it might be smart not to wait for a call back from your doc, which I'm sure you're aware could take forever, but make an appt to see him or her...today if possible...but if that's not possible, ask if your doc has any partners that could see you. HTN is easily treatable, but it always helps a doc to be able to examine you physically and go over your health records before they make a choice of which antihypertensive(s) to use. Be sure to bring in with you the readings you've shared with us.
Good luck Phil. And pat yourself on the back for catching this before any real damage could set in. In the meantime, you might consider skipping the coffee :( And also rest as much as possible and try to avoid stress.
