I'm in complete agreement with you Susan. I never published the STW II, ever. I feel that it is a very inferior manuscript, hard to read, hard to understand, verbose, complicated, often vulgar, and most importantly- it doesn't do what it aimed to do, despite Lingo's enormous effort in that book.

Bear in mind, I knew Lingo for 11 years, and working with him was very rewarding. What he was able to impart in person never really translated to the typewritten page.

The one book that he wrote that preceded the STW II was the much more to-the-point STW I, a 42 lesson notebook, which was what he actually used in his workshops and camps.

For many years, with the permission of his estate (unlike any other pirated Lingo manuscript- and oh yes, people will claim otherwise, just read the history here:
http://www.neilslade.com/art/Brain/history.html ) I made this available to interested people at my cost to print. These days, there is little interest in the book.

I'm not at odds with the decreased interest now, or earlier, incidentally. I've always been a writer and publisher foremost, and my own books have enjoyed a substantial audience for the past 15 years. My first book, the Frontal Lobes Supercharge, was even picked up by a major European publisher, Rowohlt, and I am pleased that I can claim to be among their stellar list of published authors.

And certainly, I completely understand that what I write is not everyone's cup of tea or area of interest. And then, people will even scoff and deride my own work. That's fine, we all march to a different drummer. What I may find useful, what another reader may find useful- others may have no need or enjoyment for.

That's what makes the world go round.

As to further answers to critism, I've pretty much said it all at this point. We've all got better things to do than sling mud endlessly.

Thanks
Neil Slade
