I think the rule of thumb is to keep trying meds until you find one you like and then stick to it as long as it works for you.
I'm not entirely convinced that the pharmacists, chemists, doctors, etc, really know how these drugs work or why they effect people so differently. What works great for me might do nothing for you, or worse, make you feel bad.
Moclobemide belongs to a class of drugs called Reversible inhibitor of monoamine oxidase A (RIMA). There are other drugs on the market in the same family which you could ask your doctor about. Here's a short list:
