Not as well as I would like to be. I had been sure that I was going to attain remission by now. Unfortunately, it seems that I am stuck again. My antidepressant response seems to have plateaued at some point below a 50% improvement. I have tweaked the dosages of the 7 drugs I take as precisely as I can. If something magical doesn't happen by the time I see my doctor next, I will ask him to switch me from Parnate to Nardil.
Currently:
Parnate 80 mg/day
nortriptyline 150 mg/day
Lamictal 200 mg/day
lithium 450 mg/day
Abilify 10 mg/day
prazosin 25 mg/day
minocycline 200 mg/day> I am actually on Nardil monotherapy and doing better than I have, ever!
:-)
I hope it continues.
What dosage of Nardil are you taking?
Changing your surroundings can have a positive effect on your illness and its treatment. If the circumstances that you found yourself in were psychosocially stressful, that stress could have made the illness worse in severity and more resistant to treatment. It could have been causing medication breakthrough relapse. While I was taking Nardil, I was amazed at how my depression would break through treatment whenever my ex-girlfriend and I had a marathon argument.
